"Assist" for Inter-UC transfer

Hey,
I'm planning to apply to UCLA in a major in bus. econ and a minor in accounting. I'm not sure I can get in, so I plan on minoring accounting at UCI too. Due to a lot of AP credits I have sophomore standing (as a freshman) right now, and I want to graduate in three years (if I don't get into UCLA), and UCI has two prerequisites for acc. minor, Management 30A and 30B. I want to take these soon, but Anderson business school requires you to take "Management 1A and 1B", and your grades in those two classes influences your admission into the acc. minor.

Here's the problem. If I take 30A/B, which is an intro into accounting (as is 1A/B), I don't want to them to be redundant, and be forced to take another set of intro. to accounting classes. How can I find out if they two are substitutable courses?

The irony of UC transfering is the people in community colleges receive a guide via assist.com that gives them class equivalents while people in the UCs (I'm at UCI) don't. Is there an equivalent for Inter-UC courses or do I have to ask the counselors personally?

Sadly, there is no UC-UC transfer course list. The only exception would probably be UC Davis’s transfer course list for their Economics department and that’s basically a work of art.

However, I STRONGLY, STRONGLY, STRONGLY, encourage you to ask the counselor/advisor personally if you are trying to transfer from UCI-UCLA for business econ. A few UCI students posted on these boards writing that their rejection was due to UCLA saying that their accounting courses at UCI were not EXACTLY the same as UCLA’s requirement. Do a forum search for the UC-UC transfer thread from last year and you should be able to find it there. I believe they wrote in that thread what courses they were supposed to take at UCI.
