Just starting my first semester at ccc and wondering how should I start off in order to successfully transfer to either UCLA, UCSD, UCI in two years as a business admin major.
what classes should i prioritize, EC's, and other aspects that will increase my chances.

thanks!

Have you been to assist.org? It will give you a list of classes that you need to take for your major to transfer to each school. As far as extra curricular activities go, you should do ones related to your major. Unlike freshmen applicants, it is really important that transfer applicants show interest in their proposed major. One way to do that is through your ECs!

[Welcome to ASSIST](<a href=“Welcome to ASSIST”>Welcome to ASSIST) This is all the classes that you need to do + IGETC (see your college’s catalog for more info)

I wouldn’t worry much about EC’s since it’s not a very important factor in making transfer admission decision. But try to do sth related to your major!

Major pre-reqs completion and GPA should be your top priorities at all cost.

Btw, FYI, UCLA and UCSD don’t have busad, only UCI does, and it’s highly impacted. UCLA has BizEcon and UCSD has some economics majors. Both schools have accounting minor. If you only prefer busad and you are a serious student, also consider UCB’s Haas :)

I’ve been on assist.org but what if they dont have the exact major info even tho the school has that major

I’ve talked to my counselor at my ccc but i feel like I know more than them. they told me i had a cap for units for transfers, is that true? the counselors we have here arent much help!
and how different classes wise are bizecon and busad?

@mhscsmucla, the units won’t be capped if you finish all your classes in ccc. otherwise they may cap you by ,if my memoriy is correct, 80 semester units.
