At what point is gpa to low to get into...?

Like do you think someone with a 2.x gpa has gotten into Johns Hopkins? If so what else do you think they had going for them, other than being a lacrosse star?

NOTE:My GPA isn't 2.x its in the 3.x range but it is low so yeah please answer the question.

Quite honestly I don’t think a GPA below a 3.5 can cut it for Hopkins. Maybe if you ace all of your SATs, all of your APs, and you have a crazy amount of EC’s and wonderful essays.

^Not to take what you said to literal but I’ve seen someone with a 3.43 get in

Really? I know someone who had a 3.9uw and 2300+ and didn’t get in with decent EC’s… I guess its really as much of a crapshoot as it is with the Ivys.

It depends. What is your major? If you are applying to JHU hoping to major in BME or something medical related, your chances are going to decrease. However, if you are majoring in something that is not immensely popular there, your chances will increase.

I thought they didn’t look at your major unless you wanted to do BME

EDIT: Nvm I just remembered one of the essay prompts
