Attending Yale Young Global Scholars then applying to Harvard

Hi all,

Yale's two-week YGS program for this coming summer seems really intriguing, and I'm considering throwing in an application for it soon. However, Harvard is my top college choice between those two, and I was just wondering whether it would hurt my chances of admission to Harvard if I attend that program? It is clearly a hypothetical situation, as I not even have been accepted to it, but I suspect this might be a relevant question for others too, so I was hoping someone with more knowledge about this stuff could provide me with some prudent advice. I'm fully aware that I wouldn't have to mention it in my app, but I guess it sort of puts me in a difficult position if asked on what I did during the summer etc.

No, it would not hurt your chances.

No impact whatsoever.

If I am interested in both politics and science, how could this compare to the larger science programs (RSI, Simons, etc.)? Thanks!

Seriously, I don’t think it will hurt you even if you mention it in the app.
