Hey,

Is anyone looking at attending the program? I think it sounds pretty sick.

Hi!

I attended YYGS this past summer. I attended the Grand Strategy session (it is called International Affairs and Strategy now). It was the best experience ever! I made tons of new friends and I continue to keep in touch with them. I also learned tons of material. It is hard work though, but overall, it was a fantastic experience. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@Upasna15 Hello! I applied to YYGG for upcoming summer. I am an international student in a well-known high school. My GPA is 94 out of 100. I am doing sports, playing musical instrument, been in variety of activities did volunteer work, submitted good essays and participating in various clubs, and I am a writer in two newspapers. How are my chances of getting in? I hopee you talk about your ideas, thank you…

Since you are so involved in activities and you are obviously very focused and accomplished in school, your chances are high! It is a no-brainer when it comes to how eligible you are for a spot - you most definitely are. Something to separate you from the other smart, hard-working students, is your essay.

@Upasna15 I am also a Vietnamese student, I’m so scared, is the program selective? I believe I have good essays, Letters of Recommendation and great resume; however, I think other people’s resumes would be better than mine. Would you be so kind reading my essays? Thank you…
@yowaytogo, You are an international student which definitely works in your favor! The program is quite selective, however I do think they take the qualitative parts of the application into hand more than the quantitative. You could copy and paste them into a direct message or message me for my email.
