ATTENTION MOMS!!!! The "CHANGE" is coming.....

My PC and two others from the 4th Co. had a long conversation and discussion on, (of all things...) SHOE POLISHING!!!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but this is scarey!!! One PC was discussing how he was able to make his shoes shine so well...and the other two were actually listening to him!! They were complimenting him, "Hey, man they really look great!"

They were also discussing laundry, getting their uniforms to look "just right", etc.....I really think someone kidnapped my kid and replaced him with this alien! Personal hygiene!!! Shoe polishing!!! Uniform maintenance and care!!!

Next thing you know he will be critiquing my floor washing or vacuuming!!! (It probably could use a little critiquing...)

He was even saying to the dog..."Don't get my uniform dirty!"

Anybody know who's got my kid????

Just wanted to let you know...the "CHANGE" is coming...

Don't get too excited. In my experience, once they get out of those uniforms,
they turn back into our kids again.

I remember my Ds talking about the benefits of Tide to Go vs the Bleach Pens vs Shout

:)

And getting upset because my youngest DD had a smidge of food on her mouth and wanted a hug from her big bro. She didn't understand why she needed to wipe her mouth yet again. :)

Ah, but it doesn't last when they get out of that uniform. During the breaks at Christmas and the Spring break.... his bedroom was back to being a complete mess while he was home.

But they do become MUCH more appreciative of you and your efforts.

Enjoy "The Change".

it's part of the rollercoaster ride.... the good part.

I'll second what KPMarineopsdad said. They revert back to their old habits pretty fast after they leave the "friendly confines" of old KP.. I've seen more than one cadets stateroom that looked as if a typhoon had hit it...

No change here
Mine was spit polish girl before she left for KP

However. I always thought it odd how
she'd make her bed tight and perfect
only to sleep on floor as
not to ruin it

As long as he doesnt wash you hands
over 20 times a day
I think he will be fine
