I was just wondering if any of the incoming freshman have started to pick out their classes for the school year. I was told when I went for a tour that an advisor would contact me in the middle of May and help me with class selection but that has yet to happen. I’m getting worried that I might be falling behind, especially with the threatening emails being sent from the Immunization Office about suspending accounts.
Does anyone have any insight into this? Thank you!
My DS has not been contacted either and he was ED1, so we are supposed to register earlier than RD. We are also “Non-Compliant” as I just submitted his form. I think this whole immunization threat is just awful and a terrible way to start communication with students and parents. I will try to remember to post if he is contacted by his advisor. Just a note every department I have dealt with directly over the phone have been kind and helpful. Of course, student health does not even allow you to speak to a person. You are not the only one - I would guess the majority of students do not have the form in because the due date was July 15!
I was finally able to reach a real human being in the Student Health Center and apparently they send out one mass email to everyone - new and current students. So if you are incoming Freshman a “Stop” has not been put on your account and you will be able to enroll. If your forms are not in by July 15 that’s when the “Stop” will happen.
Students should receive an email on their students account going over the enrollment process. The first day for registration is June 5 for ED and June 7 for regular decision. I am not sure if that email has gone out or not as it still a few weeks away but If there is no email in your student account, you can always email FYadvising@american.edu and inquire.
