Hi! I am in the process of applying for housing at Auburn and don’t know which building to apply for. I want to live in the quad but don’t know which building within the quad to live in. I plan on rushing and want to be surrounded by girls who plan to do the same. I am coming from Texas so I will be eager to make friends once arriving so I want to be in a area that is very social and makes it easier to make friends.
If you are in the Honors Collefe I would recommend the Upper Quad - my son stayed in Broun Hall for Freshman and Sophomore year and they have the Honors activity center in the basement.
Im not sure it really matters - just know you are staying in old style dorms not the newer apartment private room style dorms. The Quad is preferred for a number of reasons and interaction with others is a big one. Sometimes students shut off their rooms in the apartments and close themselves off - easy to do. In the Quad you are in the middle of everything - roll out of bed one way and you are at the library, the other way you are at the student center, another way at the stadium.
My sons roommate is from Dallas - you will love it there! (I’m from Texas too!). War Eagle!
