Auburn University Early Action for Fall 2024 Admission

Applied prior to Sept cut off. Had a situation with one document, which was resolved after the September cutoff. Portal showing awaiting decision. When would the next round of communications be? Hoping nothing is stuck with the application, and don’t want to bother admissions. If an applicant did not make it, would they have been advised. Hoping awaiting decision is still a hopeful status!

Completely normal status. If the portal shows you’re awaiting decision (and that nothing is outstanding) but everything wasn’t submitted by the 9/15 cut-off you’re likely considered in the 10/15 cohort. Based on last year you should expect to get a decision sometime before 11/15.

How were you able to find that out? Thx!

There were 3 or 4 posts on this thread, scroll to see, saying they were just admitted. It was after the first round of decisions dropped.

Is the 11/8 date the earliest we will be able to pay for the housing deposit, or will we receive an email between now and then to pay the deposit before the applications open?

Has anyone else filled out the vaccine record information that is required? I just noticed that students also have to have a blood or skin test for TB. " Auburn University requires a Tuberculosis Skin Test or Tuberculosis Blood Test from every student in order to attend. Tuberculosis testing, either skin test or blood test, must be within 6 months of the first day of class."

I don’t remember the exact wording on the site but I believe this is only a requirement for international students. For domestic students I believe you just check a box - or something to that effect.

Possible this has changed.

I was just curious if anyone had started filling it out and to inform others that every student is required to get the TB skin test within six months of the first day. It is definitely a requirement. It is on the medical form, and it states it on the Auburn website. I just wanted to point it out so that no one is surprised. New Students (auburn.edu)

My kid finally received the welcome packet from Auburn. The mailman started to bend it and put it in the mailbox, but he pulled forward and walked it to the door instead. I thanked him so much for the extra time and care.

The email will have your day and time (on 11/8 or after) when you can log to fill out the housing application and you will pay the $100 then. It will put your student “in line” for housing room selection in the spring.

Does the assigned date have anything to do with our position in the housing “lottery,” or are they simply staggering times for people to apply and pay?

Has anyone received the housing email as of yet? Anxiously waiting.

The website says: *Room selection timeslots are assigned to students based off their housing application submission date.
I do think any student in EA1 will be in a great position to secure housing. But with some EA2 acceptances already out (?) and AU now being late with the housing emails, I wonder if EA1 and EA2 will be lumped together.

I hope that we have some advantage in housing. We certainly had to wait a lot longer than many that applied by October 15th and received acceptance a couple of days later. Haha. Not being mean at all. I’m just nervous being over five hours from campus.

We just attended War Eagle Day on Friday. EA1 Nov 8th Time Stamps will be BEFORE any other EA, 2, 3 etc.
I hope this helps.

My daughter hasn’t received an email but I just clicked on apply for housing. It told me she was out of her assigned time slot and states the day and time that’s she should log in. Her date is 11/16. Does anyone else see this? Based on her date I am not feeling hopeful about The Village.

oh good. Will we receive the time stamp email prior to Nov 8th?

what day did you send your application in? I just checked the portal and my date is 11/10 even though I got my application in well before the 9/15 deadline. Not sure how they are assigning these dates…
