Audition intensive by Broadway actors for NYC area

<p>My D at Tisch forwarded this to me and asked that I pass it along for a friend. These two young women are both Broadway actors and are going to conduct classes beginning in January for students and actors on audition techniques and other areas of knowledge around the theatre biz. I thought there might be some kids in the NYC area who would be interested in looking into it.</p>

<p>"Hollie Howard (Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, Annie Get Your Gun) and Shayna Steele (Hairspray, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent) will start a 5-week audition intensive in January 2006. * We will teach you how to break down your song and give you crucial information on how to get an agent, how to ace a musical theatre audition, and the ins and outs of showbusiness. SERIOUS MUSICAL THEATRE ACTORS AND ACTRESSES ONLY NEED REPLY! You must have some experience in musical theatre, whether it's community, high school, college or professional! A smart actor always takes class no matter where they are in their career. (non-union and union are all welcome)

Monday night classes start January 23 for 5 consecutive weeks from 7pm-11pm
Tuesday night classes start January 24 for 5 consecutive weeks from 7pm-11pm. </p>

<p>I was all pumped until I saw the times. Are they mostly meant for college students and adults? I know my parents would not let me go to classes in the city on a school night that end at 11 at night.</p>

<p>Don't know the answer, but just to point out: There are plenty of high school kids who already live in the city, and are going to special classes and extracurricular activities there all the time.</p>
