I auditioned for flute MUED/PERF at UNT, and recently got an email from the regents professor of flute, congratulating me on an academic scholarship (received earlier) and asking to call about “audition results and plans for next year”. Is this a good thing? I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach that it’s going to be bad news… Any ideas of the info to come?
Sounds promising!
In my experience, professors usually don’t make phone calls unless it is good news or they are very seriously interested.
Thank you for the encouragement… The audition process is an anxious one. I suppose I have to wait. It’s a shame emails are always vague, lol.
Why aren’t you calling him/her as requested in the email? Then you’d know the reason for the email, instead of worrying and waiting for results.
She’s calling me; she asked for preferred dates/times/phone #.
Oh, I see, got it now. OK, good luck–hope the phone call brings good news.
Hope you have gotten great news. To me the e-mail sounds like you made it in
