I just found out from my D and also checked the housing website, and it says that the move-in date is August 26th? Is that for everyone - including upperclassmen, because I don't recall juniors/seniors having to move in that early in previous years (I have a S that already graduated). I'm just wondering if it's mandatory for the upperclassmen - I can't imagine that it would be, but then again, you never know. The date just cuts into any remaining vacation plans, etc.

upperclassmen move in whenever. Just show up to class by the second week.

I know the moving day for freshman is the 26th. I was just wondering if we can move in early (even if I have to pay) because it's probably going to be REALLY crowded on move in day.

this year, there is a process to register for time slots to try and ease the crowding on move-in day. you move in during that time slot. im pretty sure about this

Where do you register? Do you know?

nyu.edu/welcome

it wont be available till monday

you can't move in earlier, or try to bribe your way in so you don't have to wait in line...seriously? this is one day out of the year guys. stop stressing.

Come ridiculously early. Just arrive at 7 am or something. If you're in the second half of the alphabet then get just show up with an excuse, or if your roomate/suitimate is in the first half, then show up and pretend that all of your stuff is his too and bring it all in with him and when things die down get your key. Move in is terrible try to avoid it.

Ahahaha. Like I've said before, consider it a rite of passage.
