Authorization code for language class?

Hey guys, just need some verification. Has anyone ever enrolled in an introductory language class after taking the placement test? Is there an authorization code I need from a counselor? I'm not trying to get into 2a or any of the advanced courses, just the beginning course, 1A. I took the placement test a few months ago, and I'm guessing I can just register without any type of code.

For Chinese, you have to take a placement test and fill out this little survey thing. Then you can get an authorization code from a counselor. I got one today for Chinese 1A, actually.

IDK about other languages.

Hmm, yeah it might be different for other languages. I’m taking Spanish. Thanks for replying though! Hopefully someone who took Spanish will pop in :O

when i took the spanish placement, i was able to enroll automatically (not right after i took it, since i didn’t want the class in fall, but even right now i don’t need a code and it’s been almost two years)

Haha yeah, I registered more than a week ago so I’m good now! But in case anyone else is wondering in the future, for specifically Spanish 1A if you take the placement test and are placed in the class, you can just sign up for it right away, no need for a code.

Oh! But I have a new question for you, jennifer7, if you ever see this  Did you ever end up taking Spanish? It’s been maybe 2-3 yrs since I’ve taken Spanish so I’m really curious what class is like.
