Avenues of Expressing Interest

<p>Hey-o! Quick question I've been researching for awhile, but haven't been able to get a straight answer.</p>

<p>I've heard one of the key parts of getting into Northeastern is expressing interest early and continuously. What are the different ways of expressing said interest? I've already emailed my "region adviser" three weeks ago and have not received a response. The site mentions no open houses yet, and I'm not interested in an engineering major (computer science, rather) so I can't do "Engineering Wednesdays" or whatever the day is. My folks said that I can fly up for one or two days and explore the campus, but it would be ideal to come during a time where I could use the visit to the fullness of my ability- it's sort of expensive to fly up and stay and I'm only allowed one visit up. So- any days anyone would suggest for a rising senior to visit?</p>

<p>Er, sort of molded together those two questions- basically, what day would be ideal for me to visit, and what avenues, be it email, phone, or what have you, should I use to express interest in attending Northeastern?</p>

<p>I can’t really answer how to express interest. I think you’re on the right track with e-mailing a region advisor and planning on visiting. Also, applying EA is helpful.</p>

<p>An ideal day to visit would be a weekday, especially m-th. Weekends are quieter since people aren’t in class and don’t need to walk around campus as much. And saturday or sunday mornings before 12 are going to be dead. </p>

<p>Sometimes if I have a crazy week ahead, I wake up early (meaning like, 10am) on sat/sun to go study at the library. Naturally the weather always blows when I have to do this. Then I see some big campus tour group, trudging in the rain and fog through a lifeless campus, seeing only me walking around, hung over and hating the world. I wonder how many of those kids actually end up going here after that visit!</p>
