I'm transferring this fall and I just found out that I need to complete 30 credits in the next two years ( I could go for longer , but I'd rather not ) . I was just wondering what the average number of courses most people take at a university . I've taken about 6 the last four semesters at my college .

i say 15 a semester is about average for full time students.

At my school pretty much everyone takes 5 classes a semester. Depending on the class, they’re each 3 or 4 credits so most people take 15-18 credits a semester.

15.5 credits average at my school/semester for full time students

I did 16 last semester and 17 this semester. Will probably narrow it down to 14 or so next semester while waiting for other courses to open up after my beginner major classes. This seems to be normal among my friends, too.
