Average SAT/GPA etc for OOS admits?

What are the average stats for getting into UVA from OOS? If this data is not available... could anyone estimate? Along with admit-rates if possible.

In my case... I have 3.6/4.1 and a 2100. How does that fit in statistically?

Thanks

[The profile on the admission site](http://www.virginia.edu/undergradadmission/profile.html) and [the Common Data Set](http://www.web.virginia.edu/IAAS/data_catalog/institutional/cds/cds.htm) are where you’ll find a ton of data.

The Office of Admission doesn’t calculate an average GPA for any population because there is no common scale used at high schools these days. We’d be averaging apples and oranges. The Office of Institutional Assessment attempts to calculate an average because so many of those ranking companies require one, but they are averaging students on scales that have different weighting, so the stat isn’t reliable. It’s probably more helpful to know that 88.5% of the students who are enrolling fell within the top 10% of their high school class.

As for testing stats for OOS vs. VA students, we don’t bother publishing those and I agree with that move. I think some students are a bit too obsessed with testing, thinking that hitting a certain stat is the key to admission. The fact is that your program and grades provide four years of data, which I suspect is a better indication of how you’ll do for the next four years.

Thank you!
