Avg accepted GPA at Emory, Tulane?

these schools dont list this information on their webistes...anybody wana take a stab at their avg accepted gpas? For Tulane id say 3.5, for Emory 3.7ish?

Last I heard, the transfer rate was a bit over 50%, so I'd guess a little lower GPA for Tulane, maybe 3.4 or so from a reputable university. I know they have transfer scholarships with only a 3.25 required GPA, though it's likely that most who get them have higher.

Emory could even be higher, depending on where you're coming from. They as well have a high transfer rate.

I got into Tulane with a 3.92... They also gave me a decent schlorship, it worked out to be rougly a half-ride.

If you have a 3.25 GPA with at least 30 credits and apply on time, you qualify for a 1/3-ish tuition transfer scholarship ($10,000). My friend received one w/ a 3.33 GPA.

It says on our viewbook that you need "at least a 2.8 to transfer," which I think is true... It is fairly easy to transfer in if you have the credits and GPA, and a lot of my transfer friends came in with a 3.0-ish GPA.

I have no idea how financial aid will be like after Katrina, but we were told that the same # of scholarships will continue to be awarded.

Good luck!

wow thats somewhat surprising...did ure friend do quite well in HS (as in, would he have been accepted as a freshman)?

what are some other schools with similar transfer selectivities?

He had a 3.8 GPA full of APs and honors in high school, but I remember him telling me his SAT was very low (like under 1200).

So he did well gradewise, but his SATs would have probably kept him out of Tulane.

thats interesting...what school did ure friend transfer from?
