<p>Go onto MyUCSC and then click on My Student Center and then on View test scores. On mine, the score was in the bottom so you might have to click view all. It's where they show you your SAT, ACT, SAT II scores.</p>

<p>I got an 8, which is passing. If you get a 10, you place out of the C1 portion of your core class.</p>

<p>It’s out of 12. 8 is passing. I am just glad I don’t have to take remedial English or something lol. It would have been nice to place out of C1 requirement.</p>

<p>Yup. You fulfilled the C1 writing requirement. The core class you enroll in will fulfill C2. So you won’t have to take a second writing class later.</p>

<p>Scores: 8 & 9: Fufilled the entry level writing requirement but not the C1 requirement (by a tiny amount of 1-2 lol dumb)</p>

<p>Scores 10-12: Fufilled Entry level writing requirement and the C1 requirement (putting them slightly ahead)</p>

<p>Yes, it puts them ahead. They will not have to take Writing 2 later if they scored 10-12.</p>

<p>Aw, don’t worry about it. A lot of teachers will give you multiple revisions on your work before the final draft, or even let you rewrite essays later on.</p>

You’ll be fine. I didn’t pass the first time around and my core class totally help me improve as a writer so by the time I retook the test I was able to pass no problem. I was also able to pass the core class no problem as well.</p>

<p>in my portal it says overall- 4 only. Does it means i got 4+4=8 ? or just 4 :/</p>
