Has anybody applied for AXA this year?

I have. But I’m pretty sure I won’t get it. Lol.

Same here. I’m from WV and for my achievement I wrote about being a state officer for an organization and how it helped me to help people. That’s absolutely nothing compared to some of the stories posted on the website. I know those were the national winners, but still…

Has anybody heard back yet?

^^^ The website said that winners will be notified in the spring?

I did not become a finalist, lol. u?

Nvm, I’m not one. Lol. Just got an email. Kinda knew it though.

Finalist!!! Woo hoo Anyone have a clue as to how many finalists per state?

yayyy finalist !!! I’m curious to know how many finalists per state as well. Also, for the applicant appraisal does anyone know how long the appraiser’s responses should be?

Yesssss!! I was selected as a finalist. I would also like to know how many finalists they choose per state if anyone knows. Also in the appraisal form it has a box that asks if the person saw the applicants description of the achievement so i’m guessing it wouldn’t be best to show our person our description.

i was thinking the opposite since the if the person read what you wrote they be obligated to say if it wasn’t accurate.

My D received an email she is a finalist!

I thought it might seem like your description of your achievement could somehow sway how your recommender talks about you in their description. But you might be right

Any others from Virginia?

Just got the letter my S is a finalist. We’re in Illinois.

did u guys get it in the mail or email. I haven’t gotten anything yet.

Anybody here apply for the AXA Community Scholarship? I’m not sure what achievement I can write about for this one. Can I write about volunteering as a small group leader at my church, a one-day missions trip down to Chicago (handing out Subway sandwiches to the homeless), or working as a TA for StarTalk (government-funded Chinese program aimed to teach kids Chinese from grades 1-12)? If so, which one should I use?

Found on AXA page: “Primary consideration will be given to the applicants non-academic outstanding achievement as described in the online application essays when selecting finalists. The achievement may be a long-term achievement, an activity or a project that occurred in their school, in the community or in the workplace.”

I got finalist The email said early March for further notifications, hoping that means within the first week or so

@sleeplater, I suggest using whichever one impacted your community the most
