B in a college course as a high school student?

Stupid question, but I'm taking a course at a college. My professor did not like my final essay and now I have an 89%, or a B+. If I choose to report this class to the college I attend for credit, does that affect my ability to get a 4.0? I don't believe it will, correct? Thank you.

1) You’re required to report the class.

2) The grade won’t transfer.

3) Getting a 4.0 in college is not like getting a 4.0 in high school.

What is the difference between getting a 4.0 in college and high school?

I know they are different, but I would still be capable of doing so, right? That is what you mean by the grade won’t transfer? Hypothetically getting all A’s at my 4 year college won’t be offset by a B+ here because I have a GPA for college 1 and GPA for college 2?

I have a similar dillema. The grade won’t transfer, but the credit still will, right?

^ Exactly what I meant, sorry for babbling.

The credit will transfer depending on the receiving college’s policy. Public universities are usually more generous with transfer of credit from academic college courses taken while in high school than most private universities are.

The grade, assuming passing, will not matter except in the following situations:

 • You attend the same college when you go to college after graduating high school.
 • You apply to professional school (e.g. medical or law school) which wants to calculate GPA on all college courses ever taken, including those taken while in high school.

Do u kno if most med schools want all schools? Or just a few?
