How bad will a B in a pre-requisite look if I got A's in every other one and fulfilled each one? I should have a 3.86 transferable GPA by the end of this term.

Don't bother spending the money to apply -- you definitely won't get accepted because of that B.

Is this a serious question? You'll be fine. 3.86 is a good GPA, whats your major?

I admire your carefulness but don't you think you're overreacting just a TAD? Your stats are great

i am usually pretty optimistic w/ people, however a B in a prereq for berkeley is a problem, especially w/ a record breaking applicant pool every year. your GPA is solid but that B in a prereq could be a problem. Have you considered changing to another major that can still cover some of the classes you have already completed w/ A's but not the class w/ the B? Something that is similar to the major your currently in. it's just an option you might want to consider. I might be overreacting but the adcoms are really strict about prereqs. there might be someone on this board who received a B in a prereq & still got in that can shed some more light on this.
