B+

ChoklitRain, I didn’t mean me specifically.

Sounds like jealousy to me.

Honestly, you’re the insecure one here. I looked at your previous posts and quite honestly, found just what I wanted to see. You are a sophomore in high school with no college/pre college experience and here you are looking down on people who have gotten further in life than you have? Your attitude is what’s out of proportion here along with your BS talk. Boohoo Temple is bad? What about your one thread about having a D on your transcript and complaining that you now have no chance getting into (haha the top 12 schools on us news). Have you even visited these schools? Have you figured out what college life would be like? Honestly you’re just throwing out names from a top schools list based on prestige and name. There’s more to college than getting a piece of paper at the end of 4 years saying “Graduated from Harvard”. As a sophomore maybe you’ll still have time to learn. If not, you’re in for a real beating.

Edit: nice post above me. No ones jealous. Come out of your little corner in the closet already.

^
Man, you really don’t read. I’ve stated this several times:

The OP of the thread is not aiming at Temple, therefore the consolation that he could have a 3.0 GPA and get into “good” schools was very bad advice.

I stated that no one factor will kill a transcript, especially not one measly B.

And no, I’m not “throwing names”.

Get a life. And don’t tell me to get one, because I’m glad that I don’t have one.

Not throwing names…really? So what made you choose the top 12 schools on the US News list as a sophomore? Good thing you pointed out you don’t have a life. Reading your other posts I see that you’re becoming a really hated person on these forums. Maybe your ignorance and rude personality are what’s causing that.

Whoops, yea forgot to mention, maybe I don’t have a life, but at least I don’t cry about my grades on an internet forum.

^
What’s up with the ad-hominem? Shouldn’t you be pointing out about how I stepped all over Temple and acted as if one B+ were the end of the world?

Oh wait. Idiot.

You’re ridiculous, instead of coming up with a legit answer, you steer away from the topic like a little child avoiding the truth. Go ahead and make another thread bragging about being your 10th grade valedictorian. And continue whimpering about your D on your transcript. Quite honestly, no one cares.

^
Lol?..

You’re pathetic and clearly have an inferiority complex.

“Bragging”.

This will be my last post on this topic. You’re unbelievably callow and dense.

Grow up.

Out of curiosity, Saugus, what grade are you in?

Grow up says the sophomore in high school who’s list of colleges he/she/it wants to go to is the top 12 schools taken from a magazine and complains about getting a D when he/she/it was the one who gave up. Ask anyone in this thread and they will tell you how shallow and rude you are. Hell I change my mind, ask anyone in this forum.

“Sounds like jealousy to me.”

Lol. Wild assumptions abound! I don’t even need to defend myself from this one.

^^
Top 12 colleges?

HYPSM- Alright, but everybody aims at those. Realistically, I’m probably not getting in.
Columbia 8
Northwestern 12
Duke 10
Penn 4
Chicago 8
Berekly 21
Michigan 27
NYU 32
Safeties

You can’t hold applying to HYPSM against me. The other schools I listed aren’t in a straight line.

Notice how I left out Washington, Vanderbilt, Rice Emory, John Hopkins, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown, etc.

Clearly, I’m not picking names. All of the schools I picked have very strong Economics programs

So I’m suddenly just picking colleges out of a magazine? Nope, I have looked at all of those colleges. I’m not an expert by any means, but I’m not just picking random names.

Complaining? No, I’m asking about how bad it is if I retake it. And, as I suspected, I’m fine. Why the hell are you looking through all of my posts, anyway? Freaking stalker.

Rude? Look at who started this fight. It’s you and all of the other jerks who suddenly cry “arrogance” because I pointed out that a 3.0 GPA will not get you into top schools.

@Raddd
If you’re not jealous, why does it offend you so much that someone would be aiming for top schools?

Notice how not one person on this forum is with you. And that list is slightly skewed from the other one I saw…

What happened to “this will be my last post on this topic”?

^
Well, why do you keep replying? I have “no life”, so I have an excuse. But you… Mr. Cool?

And since when did popularity, on an internet forum nonetheless, become a measure of the validity of one’s argument?

Twilight is a popular book. It must be better than Catcher in the Rye.

Also, everybody supporting you is the same type of person as you. Someone who hates “overachievers” for some odd reason.

I’m willing to make peace if you want to. We can come to an agreement.

lol Saugus…it’s time to leave the thread…and how many schools are you applying to total? your list is rediculous!?

^
It’s so addicting and I have nothing better to do, lol. I won’t deny that I have no life.

I’m quite a bit away from actually applying. I think my list is set, and I’ll apply to as many of those schools as is reasonable. Hopefully at least 10-12.

Saugus, honey, how are you going to get into college if you don’t have a life? Schools see right through the good grades to the elitism and attitude under it all. And in the end, personality will get you a whole lot farther than your adorable Princeton degree. No one wants to work with an a-hole

^
By a “life”, I mean that I don’t waste my time partying or whatever that kid was talking about.

1) What exactly did I say that was so offensive to you in THIS thread?

2) How do you know if I’m a jerk? You don’t know me in real life.

3) Why the hell are you searching through my posts? That’s kind of creepy…

4) I concur. You may have some trouble finding people to work with you.

Partying doesn’t mean a “life.” You’ve said yourself: “It’s so addicting and I have nothing better to do, lol. I won’t deny that I have no life.” I didn’t find that by searching your posts; I just scrolled up a little bit and there it was. It’s evident that you have a rather hollow existence if you spend half your time on CC and the other half grade-grubbing (you posted that earlier in the thread, too; again, I have better things to do in my life than stalk a sophomore).

1) Your attitude about schools like Temple, etc is offensive even to someone who doesn’t go there. One of my good friends goes there and she is extremely intelligent. Whatever, that’s already been rehashed.
2) I know because you spent a good amount of this thread bashing a school you likely know nothing about.
3) I didn’t search through your posts…I posted yesterday and came back to see if someone had followed up. You posted a big list of your schools, remember?
4) Endearing comeback.

Finally, aren’t you a little young to care this much about college? Why make your high school hell for yourself just so you can get into a school that, honestly, will not be that much different from HS for you?

1) So what, is Temple now on the level of HYPSM? This has been stated multiple times, read before you post. Temple is not the type of school that the OP is aiming for. That doesn’t mean it’s a lousy school, or that people can’t be happy there. A 3.0 might get you into Temple, but it won’t get you into any elite schools. I didn’t say anything bad about Temple, just that it’s much easier to get into than the schools the OP is looking at.

2) I’m not bashing it, idiot.

3) How did you know Princeton was my first choice, then?

4) Thank you.

And I have numerous ECs that are without a doubt better than yours.

^ How do you know that the OP’s aiming for schools like the Ivies? They never explicitly stated that they were. Even though it may not seem like it, there actually are posters on these forums who aren’t.
