BA/MA program as a transfer student

Hello! I am an upcoming high school junior who is currently dual enrolling at a community college (Valencia), and will be completing a transfer plan in political science by the time I graduate. My question is, will I still be eligible, as a transfer student, to do the BA/MA Political Science Program? The program allows students to receive a bachelors in “political science” as well as a masters degree in “political science - International Relations” in five years. I was wondering if I was able to transfer to UF as a junior with my political science transfer plan and be able to do the program in three years instead of the five years that an undergrad freshman would have to do.

Normally you apply to these combined degrees in your junior year, but you wouldn’t have completed the 24 credits (until the end of your junior year) and the letters of rec’s could be hard to get.

Reach out to the Political Science Undergraduate Coordinator, Richard Nolan, he’s likely the best person to answer your question. His e-mail is rnolan@ufl.edu

@Gator88NE Thank you very much! I emailed him and am currently waiting for a response. But yes, the issue would be the fact that I have not completed 24 credits at UF, and also, of course, the letters of recs. I really hope it works out though because it would be awesome to get my Master’s degree three years post-graduation from high school. Also, the Masters has a focus on International Relations, which is what I want to major in, but UF only offers a certificate for it.

Hello @Gator88NE ! I emailed Richard Nolan and have received no response. Is there anybody else or any other contact you know of that I have? Thank you!
