lavaduck, why are all the schools that you are asking about private schools? Yes, they are fine schools, but do your parents have loads of money or are you going to need loans? If you will need lots of loans, I wouldn’t recommend any of them for business.

Hey Tax Guy thanks for the reply, yeah they are private schools, but the point of the discussion wasnt really public vs private i just wanted to know which is better and how my chances are :)

with your brilliant stats dont even think about applying to babson ! Go after georgetown, usc, nyu, cornell, upenn. You seem to have a very good shot at all the above mentioned schools, dont waste time by looking at Babson. Good luck !

First, I think Lavaduck’s GPA is a bit low for the some of the schools that you mented, Dakhors. In addition, I don’t think that Georgetown has an undergrad business school, but I could be in error about this. Cornell has one but it is a bit funky. It is the School of Labor Relations.

As for Babson, it is a fine school of business and one of the better ones. However, personally, I would have picked a school like Baruch in NY because:

It is phenominally well connnected in NY

With Lavaduck’s SATs, he/she could go for free by geting one of their full tuition scholarships and also get a computer. Thus, 140K over 4 years vs. free doesn’t seem like such a hard decision.
