Bachelor of Humanities and Arts?

I'm very interested in the BHA interdisciplinary major because I love both the CFA and H&SS and plan on applying to both.

Is there a certain school you have to apply to within these colleges to be considered? I'm interested in the schools of Art and Design in the CFA and am hoping to major in english in H&SS.

How difficult is it to be accepted into either/both of these programs? Any admission statistics?

How difficult is it to be accepted into the BHA program? Statistics?

Based on the common app's info about the interdisciplinary programs, it seems like you have to get into the two colleges and then get the necessary credit hours to be considered for the program. Is this a correct assumption?

Are there any BHA majors on here that can share information/experiences/advice/guidance/etc?

I'm still unsure about which CFA school I want to apply to, but I'm really drawn to the BHA program. Can anyone give me some kind of advice?

nobody? seriously?

I think this is pretty much how it works. I imagine it’ll be a lot tougher to get into CFA since the application is considerably different than H&SS (it’s mostly portfolio-based). Even if you don’t get into CFA you can always choose to try and double major or minor in whichever field you like within the school. One of my good friends in undergrad was an engineering major and a design minor. I know he enjoyed his design classes a lot, though he had some difficulty with some of the projects since he was colorblind.

Yeah, I’d really like to know how selective CFA is. :/

It’s dependent on the school within CFA you’re applying to. I went to an info session at CMU, and I heard that drama and music are almost completely audition-driven, whereas the art school weighs both your portfolio and academic performance equally. Not sure about architecture/design, however.

I was hoping to apply to the art school… do you know any admittance percentages?
