Bachelors in Information Systems or Masters in Health Informatics

I’m about to graduated this upcoming summer with a Bachelors in Health Administration but I plan to continue my education. I have discussed with a number of professionals and a bachelors degree in Health Admin might be the greatest degree. I already know I’m interested in the IT side of healthcare but the university I’m currently attending does not have a program that focuses on Health IT. As of now, I’m on the fence between getting my 2nd Bachelors in Information Systems or take an online Health Informatics program online. Both options have their own pros and cons but I still have a difficult time choosing either.

Information Systems

  • I can find careers outside of the healthcare field
  • Cheaper than the masters program
  • I need spend two more years in school as a full time student

Health Informatics

  • It’s online, so I can do this program while maintaining a full time position
  • A masters degree seem more impressive than 2 bachelor degrees
  • Cost twice as much as the bachelors degree

My question is which degree would help me to get in the field of work I want?

Thank you

BTW, I also understand that there is a Masters in Health Admin but I prefer to stay in the IT/IS side.
