Bad math grade?

Hi, this is my first time posting on the premed section of the website but it seems like people are offereing some good advice so I thought I'd ask.

I just finished up my first year at Cornell U.

So far everythings been great. I have approximately a 3.7, and I took all the weed-out science classes with success. However, I messed up on one exam for Multivariable Calculus for Engineers (missed part a of a multipart question on a major exam)...and ended up with a C+. The class was curved to a B-, and ended up just a little under the curve to get the grade. Here's what I received so far for grades.

Intro Bio Lecture: A+
Intro Bio Lab: A+
Chem I: A
Chem II: A-
Calc II- Engineering: B
Multi Varible calc: C+
Writing I: A-
Writing II: A
Computer Programing: A
Intermediate Spanish: A

I tried really hard to bring it up, but it didn't work out...it was a difficult class, so I'm not kicking myself over it (1/4 of the class received below a C-).

Will the C+ make any difference? The class was far more difficult than required by medical schools for mathematics...will this be taken into consideration?

Yes, of course.

Unlikely.

Implicit question: "Will this kill me?"
Absolutely not.

thanks, I see this is a common issue.

hmm, strikes me as odd that med schools don't differentiate between Calc III and something like Stats for nonmajors. Oh well.

You'll be fine considering you still have a 3.7.
