Bad midyear report? Should I be worried?

Penn EDer here wondering if his midyear report will rouse any trouble.

Well... my grades were fine but then I unexpectedly got two Ds on my midterms... (let's just say crap happens sometimes. I did not intend to get anything lower than a B lol)

So now this is my midyear report:

AP Gov: A
AP Micro-econ: A
AP Lit: A-
AP Physics C e/m: B (D brought down from an A-)
AP Comp Sci: B- (D brought down from a B+)

..and A+ in foods/orchestra :D

Is this anything to worry about? My school has sorta some grade inflation so these grades are worse than they seem. Maybe I sound like a real d**k for complaining about 2 B's, but I'm worried cause I feel bad about borderline failing two midterms...

As long as they don’t see the midterm exam scores, you’re fine. General rule with mid-year/final-year reports is just keep all A’s and B’s, and they won’t rescind. Only C or lower puts you at risk. PS. PM me…are you on Facebook, fellow 2016 Quaker? :)

Are either of you part of the '16 page on facebook?

I am! There are many Penn-based 2016 groups, though.

Yup part of the group. 2016 quaker!

Gah just checked with the guidance office and looks like my midterm grade is visible. I think I’ll have my guidance counselor write a note to the office to explain certain circumstances that lead to the bad grades =P (was sick for a week).

Any last words? >_> kinda paranoid

Yeah, the counselor note is key. But that is really odd! I’ve gotten C+'s on final exams in past years and kept my A in the class, and the A was the only grade reported on the transcript. Good luck!

Yeah that’s what my school does for past years (just shows final letter), but for the midyear report they don’t. Sigh.
