I'm a soon-to-be H.S. senior and I really wanna go to Penn State (Main Campus/U. Park) but I'm not sure how well I'll favor during the admissions process. I am in IB and will be the Senior Class President (as well as leading and being involved in numerous other activities), but does simply having good extracurriculars and decent GPA mean I have a shot? (My GPA is 3.7) Also, is IB really that great of a factor in deciding acceptance? Someone please respond! thanks!!!

SAT/ACT scores?

Sat- 1610
Act- 21

Yeah, that might be tough.

Improve those test scores. They are not good. Are you in PA? That'd help. You need to improve your test scores, though.

no, i'm not in PA. i'm in MD. but yeah i definitely am going to try to approve the test scores.

Oh, LOL. There's your location.

My bad. Well, definitely apply to Maryland. It has all that PSU has, and it's wayyyyy closer to a bigger city to do things (DC, as I assume you'd know).

Just wondering, why does PSU interest you?

haha yeah well idk i just dont really like UMD. i visited it and it was okay. and im not really sure why i like psu so much. but yeah, im definitely looking at some smaller md schools for lax and stuff.

yeah well i didn't really like UMD when i visited it...but i have been looking at some smaller MD schools for lacrosse and stuff so if it doesn't work with PSU, i still have them. and idk why i like PSU so much, i was just drawn to it one day i guess haha
