Sorry this is probably a really stupid question but how many luggage bags are you guys bringing?

I think it depends. I've got like 6 bags, but that's just me! I've got a couple of storage boxes, a lamp, trash can and other sort of bulky items, so I needed more bags.

dont they give your trash cans?

I don't remember having one at orientation. I remember how ****ed I was. :D

its says on the housing and dining website

Sweet! I guess my room was an anomaly. That's one less thing for me to pack.

I'm bringing 2 large suitcases, 1 small suitcase, and the rest in boxes.

I have 6 boxes (12inx24in), 1 really large luggage, and like 10 misc. things that were too big for the 6 boxes ...

one big cloth bag to throw all my clothes in. thats it.

They provide trash and recycling cans.

one suitcase, two duffel bags, and two backpacks. everything else was in boxes/garbage bags. you really don't want too much stuff in your room after you move in.

Can I ask what you guys are bringing that you need so many boxes and suitcases for!? Feels like Imma be missing something once I get to UCSD lol

Don't forget that you'll end up buying things inevitably so don't pack the world in. :)

Don't worry if you feel like you're not packing enough. I'm a girl and my freshman year, I brought one very large suitcase, a printer, one regular box, my laptop, and bedding. Rule of thumb is, if you don't regularly use the item, you don't need it.

5 bags! all under 50 lbs each (i'm taking a flight)

SO, who else is nervous?!

me!!! so many emotions are surging through my body right now its not even funny.

Im having those baby barf moments everytime i think of school

J/k

:D
