Baits II or Northwood I/II?

I'm signing up for spring housing (starts May 7) and the few options left are two-person rooms in North Campus. Baits II and Northwood I and II are the only places left (unfortunately without any single rooms open) and I haven't heard great things about either. Which do you think is better, in terms of location, room quality and privacy? Also which is closer to a dining hall, and to the rest of campus?

I haven't visited campus yet so this is all new to me. I would wait on signing up for a place in hopes that a single may open but that's unlikely to happen before the spring term starts, plus once I submit a contract I can't change my living arrangement.

Sublet a room in an apartment

^I agree.

I don’t know why anyone chooses to live in the dorms after Freshman year. Apartments are a better bang for your buck. For example, I’m living at a place next year 1 block away from squad for $900(rent and utilities) where I get a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living room all to myself. Whereas it costs a freshman to share 1 small crammed dorm(e.g. Markley)about $880 per month. It’s good for the freshman experience though. But you don’t really get that experience that much in the summer anyways.

If you’re a music, art, or engineering student. Not that bad, otherwise you’ll hate the buses if your classes are down on Central

You should be able to get a summer sublet for a lot less than $900/month.

Check their housing website and you should be able to find summer sublet easily.
