Anyone know when it is? Trying to make summer plans, and don’t want to schedule over this

There are several.

I don't want to sound mean, but did you even try to go to ua.edu and type "bama bound" in the search box? It was two clicks from there.

Dates - Bama Bound Orientation - The University of Alabama

oh wow. technologically illiterate. sorry. Thanks!

If you wait until late April to register (say, if you haven't 100% decided to go to AL), will you be at any disadvantage re: Bama Bound? My son loves AL, but is not sure he's going.

Registration and football tickets are first-come, first-serve. So the later you attend Bama Bound, the more likely you are to get undesirable sections of freshman courses and to NOT get football tickets.

Okay, thanks!!!

Does any of that matter if you are Honors? Right you get priority registration, but what about the football tickets?

My current freshman did not commit to UA until early April 2008. When he called to register for “Bama Bound” he had to choose one of the last three sessions that were offered. He is in the Honors College and was able to get the classes he needed. I can’t say this will be the case for everyone.

If you are arriving from out of state, I recommend paying the extra $15 to $20 for your bed linens and towels. Packing a pillow, sheets, blanket and towels would have been an added hassle. My son arranged to take the suttle from and to the Birmingham airport. This added to the cost of his trip but added peace of mind for me (a parent).

My son did not have to register for Football Tickets. Since he is on another varsity sport team, his ID card allows him to attend (and encouraged to attend) any and all of the home athletic competitions. He must sit in the designated “students section” (way up top in the football stadium). This benefit is greatly appreciated!

Honors students have special Bama Bound sessions that are early in the summer before BB sessions for regular students. As far I know, you must be at the Bama Bound session to get your football tickets.

By the time my son committed to UA, he still was not able to attend the session(s) specifically for the Honors College students. I can’t remember exactly why. It was either full, conflicted with his Graduation date or conflicted with the State HS Track Meet.

If you are in the Honors College and are not able to attend the specific Bama Bound session for Honors, your Academic Advisor will be able to do their best to get you the classes you need.
