So it says on the fb page that rejection letters only are mailed the 15th…anyone know anything about that? Is it just for that specific market?

Yea if you look at my comment i think its true…
i mean if they were only accepting five ppl or whatever they would take the time to call you on the phone and congratulate you personally…

And Seattle’s only accepting three people.

But maybe Seattle just doesn’t call people, we have no idea. No one has posted on Facebook or here saying they were accepted from Seattle.

Yea momomomo… it just might be that those people aren’t part of the fb page or dont go on cc

but im from the d.c. market and like i’ve assumed that i was rejected cause it doesn’t make sense that i would be accepted by a letter in the mail.

Oh I thought you were from Seattle, sorry! Do you know of anyone who was accepted from your market?

no i haven’t heard from anyone in my market (fb and cc)
i don’t think i got in because i only have like 290 community service hours

but i though i would get it because i had like 400 hours working with my African school but i guess not.

Actually you have no idea…you may very well have gotten in I really dont think the number of hours matters quite so much as the meaning behind those hours.

lol thanks for the optimism.

Yea i mean i can do now it wait.
did you have any back up plans?

Not really…I didn’t know about any other internships or anything so I guess I’ll just get a grocery store job or something lol you??

i applied to two other places in d.c, only one responded to me
i got a phone interview next week, they have 11 people and they only take two (so i hope i get it)

other than that i applied to a bike shop, and a retail shop
its just that im a junior and im not trying to spend the summer at home doing nothing…

Well if you’re only a junior then the pressure to earn money isn’t quite at its peak yet I did a lot of volunteer work over the summer of junior year instead of getting a job, plus many of my extracurricular activities had summer commitments so I couldn’t really get a job. But that’s all over now so I need a job this summer!

lawl im blown

has anyone from the LA area got accepted?

As far as finding out, a woman called my cell phone on Tuesday then sent me an mail Friday. I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to get this internship haha

What market hopeful?

Hey guys, so I just got off the phone with the Bank of America Student Leaders Program inquiring as to the status of my markets’ (Broward County, Florida) application acceptances/rejections. They told me that ALL markets made their final decisions this past Friday the 15 and mailed both acceptances and rejections. The lady who I spoke with told me that we should be receiving the letter sometime during the week. There is still hope, one of the Miami market students received her acceptance through mail, NO phone call.

So i’m guessing those who haven’t received phone calls on the 15th are rejected?

Not necessarily, there are some students who have received acceptance letters without a phone call.

I don’t think any of us here in NJ have heard the decisions, so I believe we’re one of the markets who are recieiving acceptances and rejections through mail.
