Bank Of America Student Leaders 2013

What types of internships are available and how selective is the program?

At the end of the application, they have an option to add a resum

Hey guys! Last year I was accepted for this program under the Orange County market. It was definitely competitive as there were over 300 applicants and about 15 were interviewed. This was such an amazing experience however so I would definitely suggest you apply and see what happens. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!

OMG submitted my app last week. From Seattle market, anyone know how competitive it is?

The application nor the website refer to any specific internships; however, I do know that all of them involve working with a nonprofit organization. Once an applicant is selected, BoA will choose a nonprofit organization for him/her. Competitiveness usually depends on the market you live in, but overall, this is a very selective program. 5 students chosen from hundreds, usually.

Do they call you / e-mail you if you don’t make it?
Also does anyone know how competitive the Seattle market is? Not many people at my school know what it is so I was wondering if more people from other schools in the Seattle Market know about it.

Do potential candidates get an interview?

Whether or not you have an interview depends on the market you are in. Some markets (like mine) have an interview for the top 15 or so candidates.

I’m a previous Student Leader!!!

Is it better to sound formal or casual but personal?

Hi Joe, when we first start an application we need a organization and they asks for “Organization/School Name”, do we just put our school name because I dont know what organization I am in?

School name -Previous Student Leader

So if we upload a letter rec it doesn’t need a request Id or page like the email one needs…right?

I didn’t entirely answer the question straightforward, if I had a chance to include something I had done into the application, I threw it in there. I tried to be really honest and real about myself though!

Does anyone know when we’ll be notified with the decision?

around May 31st ^

Would it be alright if my counselor emails the letter of recommendation tomorrow morning, or do they want it by midnight tonight?

I just submitted my application for the Atlanta market, but I’m a little concerned about the fact that I could not open my letter of rec after I uploaded it. Is it possible that they just didnt have the ability to open a pdf through the application platform? Should I have the letter emailed still? I’m freaking out!

Also, How long does it take to get the request ID? I just submitted mine now…

Do we need a request ID number if we are submitting our application online? It says that we need to have it on our letter of rec, but it says that we need to submit to get the request ID number, which wouldn’t be possible since they do not allow us to edit after we hit “submit.” Also, does “by the 25th” mean 11:59 on Thursday or 11:59 on Friday, I’m pretty sure it means 11:59 on Friday
