Bank Of America Student Leaders 2013

1 more Q: How did u u guys receive your request ID number?

@zhstkdblackbelt
I just submitted it now but didn’t receive my personal id that i need to send in my letter of recommendation. did you get yours? thanks

@withtheflow
if you updated your letter of rec then you don’t need the request id.

Can someone please confirm that applications and letters of recommendation are due at midnight ON Friday the 25th, and not midnight on Thursday the 24th?

@khoinoshort
Idk man it kinda says that it needs one…

@NYHereICome
If they wanted it due thursday they would have said due on the 25th exclusive

Well it is, evidently, open until 11:59 on the 25th.
GL guys

How do I get the ID?-The Request ID is only received through email after clicking the Submit button, which means that one can no longer edit the rec letter to add in the ID after submitting the app.

Did I have to include it in the uploaded LoR?- I don’t think so, since it’s not logical to send the applicant the ID after the app was submitted…but just to be safe, I would also have the teacher email the letter.

When is it due?- I’m pretty sure you have till 11:59 on Friday 1/25/13. The email cover sheet quotes “no later than Friday, January 25, 2013.” You guys should still have today to finish up! And as withtheflow said, the slot is open till 11:59 on the 25th.

Good luck to all of you guys!

To everyone who is worried about including your request ID in your uploaded letters of recommendation, I’m sure that the only reason as to why they want you to have it is so that if an applicant emails his/her letter, the organization can easily match it with the proper applicant. If we are uploading ours, then Bank of America doesn’t need to match our letters with our application because we are already submitting them with the rest of the app, so they already know who the letter(s) belong to.

Hi. I’m from the Atlanta market and I sent in my application with my letter of recommendation last night. But of course I didn’t get the ID number until after I sent it in. Did I still need the ID number on the recommendation even though I uploaded it with my application. Help :(

Hi, im from the dallas market and i had the same question, so i emailed in hopes i would get a response here is what the email said “If you are uploading your letter of recommendation to your actual application, the request ID is not necessary. If you are emailing it, make a note of the Request ID number that you obtain from your confirmation email (after submission), and enter it on the letter. Please note that once you have submitted your application, you will not be able to access it for any reason.”

Please visit the following website to print out a copy of the cover sheet attachment. Once completed, please ask your recommender to email the attachment and letter to and send it to SLProgram@CenterforLeadershipInnovation.org.

I uploaded the extra one and had my teacher email the required one…can’t wait for results to come out

When do we get notified if we are accepted?

Read some past threads and people said that for markets that conduct interviews for finalists, you should be notified late February-ish. Others range from mid-March to late-May for acceptances and they’ll call you first :)

Thanks SeattleChic!

Hi guys!

I emailed them and they said that if you are uploading the application, you do not need to include the request ID. :slight_smile: good luck everyone who applied!

Hey guys I am also applying from the Seattle market. I have like 430 hours of community service and started my own service organization and everything but I feel like my essays were weak. Can any of you guys tell me what you think of my essays? I don’t think itll be a big deal if I put my essays up since the application deadline is passed…

I can give you some feedback, PM me^

How popular/selective is this program?

@withtheflow
Selectivity depends on which market you live in, but overall, it’s a highly selective program. I believe only five applicants per market are accepted- and this is out of hundreds.
I’m not sure about popularity. My school is terrible with providing information about anything to its students, and so I found this program through other schools’ newsletters.

Does anyone know if we’ll all get a “Congrats, you made it to the next selection level” letter, something similar to that before May, or if we only get a final “Congrats, you’ve been picked” letter in May?
