Bank statement, financial statement, and certificate of finance.

Hi.
I have submitted all the required components to the schools that I have applied so far. Well at least that is what I thought until I heard about informations regarding ank statement, financial statement, and certificate of finance. So, I submitted the bank statements to all of the universities; my college counselor said that all the universities require students to submit it. Nonetheles, I realized that my counselor was wrong upon talking to other people; not all universities require bank statement.

Is it alright if I submit the bank statement to all of the universities? I mean is it a big problem? Also, what exactly is a financial statement and certificate of finance? ( I heard that I can download these forms in College Board.) I would appreciate, if anybody could tell me where to find these forms. Lastly, do all schools require bank statement? I am confused with all these different informations that I get from different people......

Bank statements certainly aren't required with applications for admission. Are you applying for financial aid? If so, your target colleges probably require you to file the FAFSA and/or CSS/Profile. Deadlines may vary by college and aren't necessarily the same as the admission application deadlines. If you have questions about financial aid, you're better off posting them in the relevant forum:

You better check the specifics with each university.
Are you an international?
Some universities require you to submit those documents along with your applications, some allow you to send along after submitting your applications, and some will ask for them only after you are offered admission.
Contact the universities for specific details... And don't panic about these things... they hardly would influence your application ^^

The certification of finances is usually just a form the school asks you to download to verify that you can afford the first year of tuition etc. It should be available on each school's website and you just sign it, get your mom/dad to sign it and then it asks for a bank letter or other sort of official document showing your family has financial support available for your education.
