Banks?

What's the best bank up there?

1) Which has the most ATMs in convenient locations?
2) Which has the closest branch?

etc, etc.

M&T would be the most convenient as there are ATMs all over campus as well as a branch in Williard Straight Hall. However, if you get out of the Northeast, you won't be able to do any banking. Still, it served me well for the 4 years I spent at Cornell and there's a branch downtown in Bethesda, MD where I'm living right now.

What are the reviews on Bank of America?

there was a thread started on this already...like 4 days ago..

M&T is far and away the best bank to go with

Bank of America and HSBC have no branches/atms on campus. I use an exclusively southeastern bank, so I started a small account with Tompkins Trust so I can cash checks/have local checks. They have a full branch in the Cornell store.
