<p>Besides Wachovia, what other national banks are located around campus? I'm currently with M&T. Would it be wise to change to something else?</p>

<p>I suggest you go with Wachovia because they have ATMs on campus. There are other banks in the area (google is your friend) but they are kind of a pain in the neck to get to if you don’t have a car (which most freshman and sophomores do not have).</p>
<p>well obviously i researched this and found that there are a few bank of americas and one m&t. all i’m implying is that its going to be a pain to open an account with wachovia simply because there arent any where im from, therefore it doesnt make very much sense to do so.</p>
<p>I believe you can open a Wachovia account over the phone (google their 800#). Once you get to campus and get your Wildcard, you then have to have your Wachovia account linked into the Wildcard account. Then you can use your Wildcard at Wachovia ATM’s to get cash. At any rate, this is what Wachovia told me when I opened up a checking account.</p>
