Which one is better? Ratemyprofessor says their both equally easy... Although Banwell is rated just a little better... Advice?

I don't think too many people on here will have had experience with both. I had Banwell for German R5A and found it to be a pretty easy class. I would do whatever fits your schedule better (or Banwell if you want someone that's easy on the eyes).

Like Azure, but opposite: I had Dewey for both R5A and R5B. Her class is pretty easy, just make sure you attend class and she's pretty lenient on paper grades. She also has some really interesting stuff to teach, because she has a lot of background in Icelandic history and culture.

Is Banwell an easy grader?

I see that the class if filling up very quickly. Will there be space available on 10/31 for either Banwell or Dewey?

I hope so... I have 11/3 :(

Dewey is a great teacher. You'll have some great discussions if you take her class.

Well, every freshman has 10/31 or 11/3 except for Spring admits. Hopefully, there's space for my time, too. I have Halloween, 10/31.

My Telebears session's on 11/4. How come some freshmen have theirs a couple of days earlier than others?

RaNe, are you a freshman, too?

Yeah.
(10 char)

My roommate (freshman too) got the first day 10/20... what's worse, is he didn't even sign up for classes because he's too lazy.

it doesnt matter if ur roommate got the first day and hasn't signed up, he/she can add/drop during open hours whenever he/she wants to

I was a German major, so I know of both Dewey and Banwell. Both are regarded as excellent teachers. I only had Banwell though, and she is a very pleasant and even-handed teacher. She will go out of her way to help you if you seek her out. I had her for German 3, but I'm sure it would be the same for German R5B
