there needs to be a like button so i can like that =D

nothing today :(

=( im sorry, tomorrow then!!

That’s what I’m hoping! On the bright side, I did get my official Lewis and Clark acceptance letter (although I already knew the decision via email) and I got a quarter tuition scholarship :)

same here from tulane, i found out a week ago and i got the letter today with a $15,000 scholarship. congrats!

@musicbiochem: I applied EA for Bard. I wish I had done IDP, though.

@holltee: A very nice birthday present, indeed! Congratulations!

Now I just need to wait until April for Bard again. But now I have the joy of waiting for Vassar, Oberlin, NYU and New Paltz. Why are all the liberal schools so competitive, ha ha.

just got my acceptance letter. my hands are shaking.

I’M IN!

I can breathe now.

Congrats everyone, this is very exciting! Now, get that facebook page up and running, so I can tell my d to chime in. (She won’t come on here.)

I recommend that accepted students check out the facebook pages from past years - Bard Class of 2014, and Bard Class of 2013. There are multi-page discussions moderated by then current freshmen - sort of your basic ‘ask a freshman anything you want’ thread.

congrats guys!!

Congratulations!

deferred, but okay with it! Now I just need to show them I really want to go there. Perhaps I’ll make a short film. Do you think that’s too over the top?

what does the deferral letter say?

Do you think letters/emails for international are sent alphabetically? I’m a ‘Y’ and still haven’t heard!

D got EA acceptance email yesterday. Dual US citizen living abroad. She did not interview, but we visited campus last April.

I found out on Monday, and got in with a 3.75, 28 on the ACT and I’m hoping good recommendations and all that. Congratulations to the others!

Congratulations!

“Dear So-and-so,
Thank you for choosing to apply to Bard through our Early Action option; it was good to read, discuss, and carefully consider your application materials. At this time, the Admission Committee has decided to defer your candidacy to our regular admission process…”

And then they tell you to keep sending in your high school transcript via mail if you’re still interested in being considered for the regular admission process.

ah ok, just curious =P. i’ll share my conservatory rejection letter =D.

Dear so and so,
Thank you for your interest in the five-year dual degree Conservatory Program at Bard and for participating in the Immediate Decision Plan (IDP) this past weekend. As you may know we are accepting very few pianists for fall 2011. Regrettably, I must report that you have not been accepted into the Conservatory program.

Our Conservatory decision in no way influences the status of your application to Bard College. In fact, I am pleased to let you know that your candidacy has been reviewed favorably by the members of the admission committee. I understand that you will receive, under separate cover, your letter of acceptance to the regular four-year program of the College.

It then talks about other stuff relating to the music program at the college, but it too is very personalized. =).

Does anyone know how soon we can find out about financial aid stuff? I know the Fafsa goes live on jan 1…
