i believe they did 3 or 4 waves last year and each wave was a week or 6 days apart (i forget which) so the next wave should hopefully come out the 15th or 16th!

i got a likely letter tuesday!!! i think my essays were average in general but my barnard supps were my favorite ones i wrote. i’m a white girl from the south, 34 ACT, 3.97 uw 5.0 w GPA, art history major with art history research and all state level instrument ability, a rarer instrument, and a couple other local leadership stuff. very surprised, because i thought my application wasn’t strong enough to get a likely from anywhere !! best of luck to you all <3

I can share! I had a 3.92 (uw) and went test-optional. Although, I really think it was my essays and ec’s that helped me. I made sure my ec’s were focused (especially towards my concentrations) but also I tried to be more creative w the essays. However, these essays were still very personal/real struggles to me (talked a lot about beauty standards and challenging viewpoints).

I also had a gov/social justice theme to my application! I think that helped a lot (esp being rlly passionate about those areas)

to everyone nervous that their gpa is too low, just know that I have a 3.80 UW gpa and I got a likely letter at Barnard. I had like a 3.5 UW my freshman year (I go to a crazy competitive prep school–think exeter/andover) but I had a crazy upwards trend. If you had solid essays, ECs, and demonstrated interests, there’s no reason to think you can’t get in !!
Does everybody who’s getting accepted get likely letters or do some students get accepted without likely letters?
I’m pretty sure many students get accepted without likely letters. Plus, there’s a chance that the Admissions Committee might’ve not read all the applications yet.
