Barnard College Class of 2023 ED

@AthenaCA How do you know they accepted 600 out of 900 ED applicants?? Where is this poster?

I apologize it was 990, my mistake, I’ll paste the link here. https://admissions.barnard.edu/sites/default/files/class_of_2022_profile_-_final.pdf

@AthenaCA It’s fine! That is the total enrolled so it is the people who were accepted from both ED and RD and then decided to attend Barnard. The amount they admitted was 1,099 which is from both ED and RD so there is really no way of calculating their ED rate because the class profile doesn’t have any information on the amount of students accepted from ED only. I wish you the best of luck too!

Thank you for pointing that out, I feel so ridiculous now looking back, that changed my point of view for a lot, but seriously I really appreciate you pointing that out

@AthenaCA It is no problem at all! I read it that way at first too. Hope you don’t stress out too much for these next 4 days after I pointed that out  don’t let it get to you too much.

Hi guys, new here but I have done some sleuthing and found this link with a much more extensive profile on admits/stats etc.

Says ED acceptance is 31%, which to be honest is really scary. Best of luck to all of you.

Barnard’s common data sets are posted here: https://barnard.edu/administration/institutional-research-and-assessment/college-statistics/common-data-set

Admission stats are in section C; the ED admissions data in subsection C-21.

For the fall 2017 entering class, there were 934 ED applicants; 289 were accepted. That equates to a 30.9% admission rate.

Hey, New York State resident here. I applied for Barnard’s HEOP (program for New York State residents who are at an economic or financial disadvantage) but I handed my financial aid forms in quite late. From the past subs, it seems like people who applied for this program generally got an interview and then were accepted. I never got an offer to be interviewed. Does this mean I am rejected? Or will I still be considered for Barnard even without HEOP?

when will the results come out? has anyone gotten an email about what day and what time? (apparently the last few years barnard sent an email beforehand with the date and time and they came out the evening of the 13th) but has anyone heard about this year?

Hey they just sent an email! Decision is out Wednesday, December 12!

@tilwil1230 Can you please verify this?

NVM, @tilwil1230 – confirmed!

I didn’t get an email. Does that mean something? if it helps, I applied to the Barnard/ JTS program.

Back and better than ever

Ahhhh man I just want to get it over with!!!1

yup i got the email too!!! but what does “evening” of wednesday december 12th mean? around 6pm eastern time or 9pm ? or ??

@agirlabroad because you’re applying to a different program, there’s a different admisisons process so my guess is your email is different so dont worry! you will definitely get a decision by the 15th
