Barnard College RD Class of 2022!

@talsak Barnard & Columbia admissions are entirely separate and occasionally students who are denied admission to Barnard are admitted to Columbia. It probably is uncommon-- but not impossible. Possibly more likely for a high stat applicant whose interests are more in line with Columbia’s offerings.

Waitlisted. Honestly guess it’s just not meant to be so it’s okay. Congrats if you got in though!

I’m actually almost laughing right now. I wrote one of my essays about how community service is like plugging a hole in a fish tank…and I got accepted. YAY!

I’m super sorry for those who weren’t accepted—it sounds like a really tough year. Hope you all end up where you need to be.

waitlisted, didn’t even expect having a chance of getting in

Rejected. Ouch. Rejected from all colleges but Temple and Rutgers so far, which were my safeties. Thought I was a really competitive candidate, guess not.

Congrats to everyone who got in!!! Hope everything goes well for you

accepted!!

Rejected. Best of luck to everyone else who applied!

rejected :frowning: super bummed, I was accepted to barnard bound on a travel scholarship and deferred from ED…this hurts :frowning:

13.7% acceptance rate! wow! I didn’t realize it was this competitive, honestly not expecting anymore acceptances at this rate lol

D. was waitlisted, but she has lots of other good options! Hang in there everyone!

Waitlisted

Rejected and I am incredibly bummed about it. I really thought it was meant to be, I felt that there were so many signs that it was going to happen as well :frowning: I wish the best of luck to those that were accepted as well as the rest of us that are devastated and don’t know what the hell to do with our lives after this lmao

Omg!!! Accepted!

DD accepted. Give her more to think about, as there are other choices.

One question we have is in the four months since she applied as a non stem major, she has progressed as a finalist in a scholarship is for stem majors. Is it possible to change to stem major now, to keep scholarship possibility?

Waitlisted! honestly kinda happy because I thought I’d get rejected

Waitlisted!!

Daughter accepted! Things are now more complicated for her decision making!

Denied

Accepted! Glad to feel like the wave of decisions is finally starting to taper off and I’ll be able to find my equilibrium and think my next actions over once April hits. Congratulations to everyone who got in, and good luck to everyone in figuring out where to go from here!!
