<p>Hi everyone, Barnard is my dream school and I know these threads are kind of arbitrary but I'm still interested in hearing people's opinions.</p>
<p>Ok here it goes..</p>
<p>95.11 unweighted avg (my school doesn't weight)
Hardest curriculum offered to me
5's on AP English Language and US Gov
4 on European history and Biology</p>
<p>Senior load: AP US history, AP English lit, AP calculus BC, College Level Hebrew Lit and Lang courses (apparently Columbia recognizes and gives credit for the final exam so I'm assuming Barnard does) and Honors Physics.</p>
<p>EC's- School Theatre (lead last year and hopefully lead this year again), Co Founded and run Israel Advocacy and political action club in my school, various lobbying and policy seminars/trips, U of Penn model congress, School newspaper columnist 3 years, grade rep 3 years in a row, participant in a program that trains high school students to be leaders in Israel advocacy on college campuses (seminars every few months and a trip to israel senior year)</p>
<p>Summers- post 10th: Barnard's young women's leadership/women's studies 101 intensive and then i went to hungary for two weeks as a fellow in an international Jewish camp for youth affected by eastern european antisemitism
post 11th- went to JTS for a social justice/leadership intensive (includes community service) for two weeks and then a Jewish arts/theatre program at Brandeis for 4 weeks</p>
<p>Essays: Solid common app essay on women in history, got great rec from JTS program from a Barnard alumna and getting two more from my US gov teacher who chaperoned one of the lobbying trips and one from my AP english teacher who went to Barnard as well.</p>
<p>Scores: 35 ACT (36 english 33 math 34 reading 36 science)
720 world history SAT II 720 literature SATII
not reporting SAT I score (2190)</p>
<p>Major awards: National honor society, AP scholar with honors</p>
<p>white, probably not asking for financial aid, no legacy :/</p>
