Barnard Traditions

So which tradition are you girls most looking forward to participating in? (:

Midnight Breakfast

Primal Scream

Greek Games

Spirit Day

Big Sub

Take Back the Night (and Speak Out afterwards)

Varsity Show (more Columbia, but Barnard gets to participate)

Orgo Night (also, Columbia’s, but Barnard girls get to throw trash and notes at the Columbia band, which I personally think is very awesome)

If you girls know any others, please share. I’ve been told conflicting stories about Barnard’s sense of community and spirit, but I can’t help but feel that since it’s up to the students, I feel like all the new admittees I’ve gotten to know would not be willing to easily relinquish the efforts to create a wonderful, big, college family.

If anyone’s interested, I found this article by the Columbia Spectator about Barnard/Columbia’s lack of traditions. [Institutional Memory | The Eye](http://eye.columbiaspectator.com/article/2010/11/18/institutional-memory)

I like all of them.

“In 2007, the Primal Scream also incorporated many students running out to the middle of campus to have a large group pillow fight.” HAHA. And I feel really sorry for everyone living around the area.
