Barrons ACT 2007?

I purchased the Barrons ACT prep book (2007 edition) and have just finished the supplied diagnostic.

Has anyone had success with this book in the past or heard positive things about it?

Any input will be appreciated.

Wow, it's 2007 already?!?!?

I've got the 2004/5 edition and it's okay. I liked it for math and science. But, not so much for reading and writing. The other book I tried was ARCO's Master the ACT and I thought that was better for writing. I also found the online Sparknotes book semi-helpful. (On the PLAN, basically a pre-ACT, I got a 27-31 with not much studying)

Can't really teach reading on a standardized test and there aren't any real good overall ACT prep books on the market in my opinion.

I just got the 2007 PR book. I had an older one and it was great. PR has the best ACT prep outside of the official tests, and if you search these forums, you'll see that most people say that.

I haven't used Barron's, though. How did you like the diagnostic?

well, seeing asthough it was my first time seeing an ACT test i have little to compair it to.
But after readig about the test on CC, it was pretty much what i was expecting.
