I am a junior, and got a 2100+ on the SAT, but wanted to take the ACT as I am stronger in math, weak in reading areas. I used my sister's old official ACT guide from a few years back and got a 31. Then I recently got the Barron's book and got a 22, and I am definitely going for 32+. But that Barron's book really, REALLY made me question whether or not I should take it. I heard it's harder, but those two scores are a huge difference.

Go back and see what you missed. It might have been some stupid mistakes. If you really don’t know how to do some of the questions then maybe you should stick w/ the SAT. You did pretty well on that already.

I would suggest taking the practice test on ACTstudent’s website for a better estimate. Barron’s tends to underestimate scores.

And the nice thing is that if you do badly on the ACT, you could just choose not to report the score.
