There are many things i like about this college.
1) The tuition is very low, especially for in-state
2) Im a business major and this school i heard is really good for business
3) Location! Going to college in nyc would be an awesome experience

The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that they have no dorms for their students...i live like 2.5 hours north of nyc so i wud not commute and i mean i deff dont want to live with my parents lol
And since it IS a commuter school, many people have said they have a horrible social scene and hate it. Would it be hard to make friends at CUNY Baruch?
Ohh btw if i do go to Baruch i would be a sophmore transfer.
I would really appreciate any information on this college, thanks!

I know right! lol i had to google it and stuff haha. I’m glad you guys aren’t bashing me or calling me stupid, the fact that i wanted to go to a baruch college forum and ended up in a Yale forum?? haha oh man

It’s is one of the best business/finance college in the nation, ranked top 15% of colleges. There are many CEO alumni’s from the college, and it’s buildings (although it virtually has no campus) are beautiful, if you are not a gothic-building type of person.

Oh and it’s the most diverse college in the world.

Thanks for the info! Maybe i did know most of that lol, but i don’t mind reassurance
Yeah im actually not into gothic-building type, but my goal and focus is to get accepted to Cornell for business, but i mean then i wouldn’t mind the gothic buildings lol.

You’re mistaken baruch does have newly built dorms. Im also thinking about attending there if i do I’ll be a freshman in fall of 2011. This is my last year in high school can’t wait. But i have a question why do a lot of people want to stay on campus id rather get an off campus apartment in the city?

are u talking about 101 ludlow i think? cause i heard about that too but the only problem is it’s only for like 150 students right? I think a lot of people want a campus is because it’s once in a lifetime opportunity and maybe b/c it’s easier to make friends. However i think going to college in nyc would be awesome though so i also agree with you on that
