Don’t submit your scores. I didn’t submit mine and I got in. If you don’t send them, they can’t consider them. If you send them in, they have to consider them in admissions. Your SAT in below the average. I would not send them in.
@CollegeSeeker97 I have a 3.65UW but probably a 4.1/4.2 UW (my school doesn’t weight) but a 1980 superscored (710M, 660CR, 610W), should I submit my scores?
@CollegeSeeker97 Thanks
well, i just clicked the submit icon to submit my application, selecting test optional . I hope i get in.
To those who got accepted. Can you read my supplement?
Sure, message it to me or post it.
guys,
what happened when you submitted your application? did you all receive your Bates account ID and password? I only received an email saying my files were being processed and they would send me my account details later. till now they haven’t sent any follow-up so I’m very worried.
does this occur to a lot of people? should I send them an email to ask?
@jamesmith they send a letter with your ID and password
@jamesmith they send it in mail which can take quite some time but if you applied ealy decision and you are still worried you should give the admission office a call and request ur ID like i did, but if you applied regular decision give them until like next week before u call because they are still processing a lot of materials
I just recently applied regular decision. My weighted GPA is a 100.07 and my unweighted GPA is a 92.63, my rank is #13 out of 154 students. I did not submit my SAT or ACT scores, and I am an actively involved varsity cheerleader, history club member, french club member, etc. My senior schedule consists of: AP Microeconomics, AP Language and Composition, AP Environmental Science, AP Human Geography, AP Stats, and I took a class at Colby College as well. Chances? I also am wondering how/when do we find out if we were accepted or not?
End of March probably.
You have a very good chance from what you’ve told me. Although it’s always really hard to tell because it depends so much on who is reading it. There’s never a promise, but I think you have a solid shot. They will email you when admissions are coming out and you will be able to check online. If you are accepted, you will also get a large package in the mail. Good luck!
When do applicants recieve anything in the mail? My D applied over two weeks ago, nothing in the mail yet.
@Lindagaf they send it in mail which can take quite some time but if you applied early decision and still worried, you should definitely give the admission office a call and request your ID like i did (i am an early decision applicant, i called and got my id and pin close to a week ago, after the Christmas break), but if you applied regular decision odds are, they are still processing your materials, but you can still try your luck.

Thank you. It’s for my D, but she actually emailed today to find out when she can expect mail. I will show her your reply.
Thank you all! I cannot wait to hear.
I didn’t interview and I’m beginning to regret it. Is there anything I can do?
@lynkel i already contacted the admissions office for a skype interview(i am international), i was told that they can’t accomodate Skype interviews at this time because of the number of applicants, that i needn’t worry, a lot of internationals dont interview, and it wouldnt be held against me. But if your a domestic applicant am also gessing its late but u can contact the admission office and try your luck.
