Hi everybody, I'm new to this website even though I read a lot your contributions in this website. The reason why I started this new thread is I need some advices about what should I major in if I want to work in the financial sector. I want to be a financial analyst (or security analyst same thing I guess) after graduation. I was wondering if I should major in BBA Econ (CUNY Baruch College offers both a BBA and a BA in Economics) or in BS Financial Econ (SUNY Binghamton offers this and a BS in Financial Engineering). I know both schools are far from being target school but I can afford them (it means not having to take loans). Or, I can work my ass off and earn a high GPA in my freshman year to transfer into an Ivy League school (Columbia and Wharton are my favorites). I don't know what should I do?

Should I go to Baruch and major in BBA in Economics (or instead in finance) or should I go to Bing and major in BS Financial Econ (or instead in BS Financial engineering)*.

Or it is best for me to transfer in my first year in an ivy league which means I have to take the risk to take loans.

Or should I go for the BS in Financial engineering (SUNY Bing) and then a Master in Financial Engineering (CUNY Baruch).

Please help me I'm very confused. Thank you in advance!
